ABOUT SUSAN LANDESMANN

American Graphic Design Award Winner Susan Landesmann numbers among her clients the Jewish Women's Theatre, City of Hope and UCLA. A winner of the Prism Award, from the Public Relations Society of America for her work on both the UCLA Medicine Magazine and the UCLA Theatre Film and Television Magazine, Susan has a multi-pronged approach that allows her to move fluidly between the worlds of print and digital design.

Branching into website design, Susan has created visually stunning sites for clients including film-production and consulting companies, photographers, and theatre groups. She has created logos and branding tools for UCLA's School of Theater, Film & Television and a multitude of other companies, including law firms, clothing manufacturers, and interior-design studios.

Susan’s innovative approach to the creation of annual reports has won her commissions from several departments at UCLA, as well as from NYU, Harvey Mudd College, and other institutions. Her recent design work for UCLA Special Collections Library includes a poster collection and a suite of fundraising and publicity tools. Susan has created book covers for multiple works of nonfiction, pairing vibrant imagery and type to the subject matter at hand.

As Principal Designer for UCLA Marketing and Communications, Susan played a key role in the redesign of UCLA magazine, whose launch issue was named the best entire issue by the Society of Publication Design.

Prior to her arrival in Los Angeles, Susan worked in the design and production departments of the Guggenheim Museum, assisting artists Robert Rauschenberg and Roy Lichtenstein in the creation of their show catalogues. Susan also worked with Lincoln Center Productions, overseeing graphic design for Lincoln Center's print material and photo shoots with such luminaries as Mark Morris and Jessye Norman.

Susan completed her degree in graphic design at the Parsons School of Design in 1996.
